Around the World in Eighty Days
Celebrating World Book Day with Piper Hill High School
With live music on ukulele, squeeze box and tin whistle, we travelled the world together by train, ship and hot air balloon! Puppetry, singing and lots of multi-sensory participation helped us to celebrate World Book Day.
After every stage of the journey, Nellie wrote the news for the newspaper on her (very popular!) typewriter - the sailors, train conductors and passengers helped us to remember all the ways that the students joined in and experienced the journeys.
Thank you Piper Hill students and staff for a great day!
They absolutely loved it, every staff member came to see me commented upon your performance and said how wonderful it was. (Deputy Headteacher)
It was just right for our students - it was perfect!
